I think you should see whatever doctor takes your care more seriously. If you think your old doctors might have been letting things slide, then switching doctors is the best choice. Your health is far more important than protecting someone’s feelings.

How is your doctor being serious about your health a problem? A concerned doctor is a good thing! Your BP was at an emergency level and you could have had severe complications. You need to see a doctor who will be able to properly manage your BP so that you don’t get any extremely high episodes like this.

It sounds like it to me. You have to do what is best for you and your health. I realize it may be hard to switch doctors, but it does sound like the guy you saw today is more aggressive with his treatment and maybe more concerned. So if it was me, I think I’d switch.

I took my friend to the doctor one and her blood pressure was not as high as yours but the doctor told me to drive her to the ER.
