Abilify is the atypical antipsychotic that has the fewest extrapyramidal side effects, low risk of sedation, low risk of orthostatic hypotension, and doesn’t have any anticholinergic side effects.
All of the other atypical antipsychotics aren’t as good as this.
Why haven’t the other 3 drugs been driven out of the market by the superior Abilify?

1. Because there are people who were prescribed these drugs before Abilify came out and are perfectly fine using them.
2. Not every drug is right for every person. Maybe someone has an allergy or a situation that prevents them from taking Abilify that doesn’t exist with the other drugs.
3. Because they are less poplar, it is likely that they are cheaper, so those people who have a hard time paying for their meds don’t have to fork out as much.
because people like you need lots of meds
Because human bodies are not 100% identical. What works on one person may have very ugly side effects on another (or do nothing).
I’m also curious why Abilify has a shill on YA.
There are many reasons. The main reason is other drug companies need their money! But, the reason that I personally think they should be on the market is what works for one may not work for another. Abilify is good because of the lower risk of side effects. While studies may show it more effective, that does not mean that everyone who takes it will get its benefits. One may take Abilify and develop tardive dyskinesia, or neuroleptic malignant syndrome (NMS), but may not if they take Seroquel, Zyprexa, Risperdal, Geodon, or even typical antisychotics, and vice versa. Although it is LEAST LIKELY, it is only a percentage. Say if people taking Abilify had 30% fewer adverse effects (being hypothetical here) than other antisychotics, then that is only a percentage. Even it’s effectiveness. One may benefit from Seroquel and not Abilify.
