What kind of dog is it in the Boniva commercial with Sally Fields?

I would just like to know the name of the breed because my mom had a dog like that growing up, but she can’t figure out the breed name.

I believe it is an English Shepherd,or a "Farm Collie," which is more of a type of dog than a purebred,a mix of Rough Collie,Border Collie and other herding breeds. It’s a beautiful dog.

Well, now I’ll have to stop fast-forwarding through commercials until I see it again. I think it’s a retriever, either Labrador or Golden?

Sally did several commercials for this medication. If you are referring to the following commercial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ovracn-uFC0
then the dog is definitely not a lab or golden retriever as one poster suggested. It is hard to tell, but it appears to be some type of collie or shepard.

As Dances stated, it’s a Farm Collie: ( English Shepherd)

(quoted)English Shepherds are no longer the well known breed they were 70 years ago. Although they have been registered as a distinct breed for over 80 years.
