Lantus usually outlasts levemir. Some people respond better to one or the other. If one’s not working well, for you, ask your prescriber about trying the other.
It’s kinda subtle:
Onset : Lantus : 1.1hrs; Levemir : 0.8 – 2hrs (dose related)
Duration : Lantus : 24hrs; Levemir : 12-24hrs (dose related)
