I’m epileptic and i’m very curious to know what happens if you take this medicine on and off… because everyone has said to me i can’t miss a dose at all and if i wanna get off it, i have to do it slowly. why is this? would it do anything to my brain?

Yes you want to do it slowly. It will raise the sodium level is your body making easy for the electrical storm to happen in your brain. Everytime I missed a tegretol dose I had a seizure. Did you try topamax. Of all the nasty epilepsy drugs topmax is awesome. The feet just get a little tingly once in a while.
If you miss a dose, your blood level drops and you increase your chances of having a seizure. Doctors titrate people on and off meds so the can be monitored for symptoms and seizures can be prevented.
