You didn&#039;t say whether you are breast-feeding or not, which will influence the decision to get off the heavy meds. Typically the doctor wants to get a patient off Percocet as soon as possible, due to long-term side effects even if you aren&#039;t nursing.  BTW, Congratulations on your baby!  The pain of a c-section will lessen considerably by ten days after the birth, with or without meds, but take the Tylenol III (a combination of acetominaphen and a stronger pain reliever) and Ibuprofen. It&#039;s a step down for you, offering some pain control just not quite as much.  It will get better, I promise! Best wishes and flowers and balloons to you!</description>
