My doctor told me to take bentyl, and I have been taking it for awhile. I asked my doctor how long do I need to take bentyl. He said as long as you’re experiencing pain in the colon area, I have to take the pill. I was like – holy f… Is the pain gonna go away forever? Doctor said unless I reduce my stress, the pain will remain. I was like holy f again. Does everything make sense?
Taking bentyl?

Holt F makes a lot of sense! What the Doc is trying to tell you, the pain you are experiencing is from STRESS. Something is wrong in your life, you need to sort that out and then your health will improve. If you are unwilling to sort your life out, then you will be in pain forever and have to keep taking the pill. It is a bit like an Alcoholic seeing the Doc because the skin is yellow and the Doc saying ‘Well stop drinking’ but the Alcoholic keeps drinking. Sometimes Patients do things that bring on a deterioration in their health and expect the Doc to wave a magic wand and put their body and world to right. The only person who can help the Patient, is in fact the Patient! I have RA, take drugs and reckon I am within my Human Rights and Legal Law to go to bed and never get up. Give that three months and I will be dead. Instead I take my drugs and get up and walk three miles, attend Pilate’s, go Aqua Jogging, keep my body fit. Because I go the extra mile, the Doctors are much more willing to help me. If I went to bed, reckon the Docs would leave me alone. Good Luck
PS I am the only Arthritis Patient who was thrown out of the Out-Patient Clinic, because I look so healthy! The other Patients decided the Rheumatologist had me on some new magic bullett and they ranted and raved at him, because they wanted it. It did not exist, just that I picked up my bed, walked and have been putting one foot in front of the other since.
