The number and severity of side effects depend on many factors, including the condition being treated, dosage, and duration of treatment. Side effects cannot be anticipated. If any develop or change in intensity, inform your doctor as soon as possible. Only your doctor can determine if it is safe for you to continue taking Bromocriptine mesylate.

More common side effects may include:
- Abdominal cramps or discomfort,
- Confusion
- Constipation
- Depression
- Diarrhea
- Dizziness
- Drop in blood pressure
- Drowsiness
- Dry mouth
- Fainting
- Fatigue
- Hallucinations (particularly in Parkinson’s patients)
- Headache
- Inability to sleep
- Indigestion
- Light-headedness
- Loss of appetite
- Loss of coordination
- Nasal congestion
- Nausea
- Shortness of breath
- Uncontrolled body movement
- Vertigo
- Visual disturbance
- Vomiting
- Weakness

NOTE: Some of the above side effects are also symptoms of Parkinson’s disease.

Last but not the least, there are many contradictions, warnings, precautions, adverse reactions and overdose instructions, which must be considered and thoroughly explained by doctor to a patient before this medicine be prescribed or taken by a patient.

Good Luck !

There are many side effects, some of the more frequent ones are nausea, vomiting, anorexia, diarrhea or constipation, headache, dizziness and drowsiness. This is by no means a complete list, just some of the more common ones. Some of the less frequent side effects can be serious. The brand (Mylan) has little to do with what side effects you get. Another brand would have the same side effects.
