Tax dollars already cover all that…

Joan S December 19, 2009 at 1:02 am

Not necessarily. Some of this is covered by insurance under some circumstances.

There should be no 0bummacare. It would be a severe "bummer" for all.

It does covor abortions. It’s under the guise of "pre-natal care"

And acupuncture, chiropractic, herbalists and other alternative and preventative cares.

Bob Dole thinks so.

Health care now covers Viagra and Cialis since these are medications for specific medical purposes. Birth control pills and abortions may be covered under some private health plans but under a public option these would not be covered since federal monies and federal laws are involved.

Viagra/Cialis? No.

Condoms, birth control pills, and abortion? Definitely. Imagine how much of your "precious tax dollars" would go towards helping unwed teenage mothers take care of their infants if they didn’t have access to these services.

Yes and they should also cover mental health care for those attention starved among us as well.

Sure and penile implants for you and ta ta’s for Nancy Pelosi.

Zap December 19, 2009 at 1:02 am

No, no, no, no…last one, only if the abortion is performed to save the life of the mother.

Kevin A.R.T. December 19, 2009 at 1:02 am

No, and it doesn’t. The only one that MOST insurance plans cover is abortions, and that is specifically banned by the Hyde amendment.

Yes, when there’s a medical need in those drugs/procedures. In general, I think we should leave heatlh decisions to medical professionals instead of letting the general public decide what is and isn’t needed.

might as well since we’re all getting screwed make sure everyone is up for it

It will probably in the beginning. The truth is in watching every other country that has tried and failed. New Zealand started out with free pharmacy. You now need to purchase insurance and pay a copay on all meds. Canada is also similar. The government of these small country’s cant afford it. How can americans. Think of it this way increasing your taxes so you can have a new already proven to fail system. A system that will force you to buy added insurance and still dig in your pocket for a co pay. The idea you will want viagra after that screwing will be non existent.
