i have been on cymbalta 60 mg for about 6 months now and been suffering from bad anxiety for longer. however i have been on adderall xr for my adhd which makes me feel better, and inderal la for anxiety as well which helps. i also take an occasional klnopin if it gets bad. anyways…i am feeling better in general however not due to the cymbalta…and i dont want to be on it if it is not helping. I am getting alot of benefit from the other meds…but am scared to try to come off cymbalta…becuase i do not want withdrawals! would it be worth trying to up the dose of cymbalta before coming off of it??? any comments would be appreciated!

  1. first I hope that your doctor has advised you to stop the med if he has then he would have told you how to go about doing it. Don’t be to stared of it all as the withdrawals what ever ones you may get should pass in time. weaning off is normally the best idea and always consult a doctor before stopping a medication. take care good luck

  3. TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR! Explain exactly how you are feeling, they are the ones who will know more about how your body will react when the medicine is out of your system.

Some medicines you have to gradually ween off of them and some it doesn’t matter. Sometimes you might not feel like a medicine is working, when it really is and things could be a lot worse off of them… the opposite is also true.

PLEASE do not try and regulate your medication yourself talk to your doctor and let them help you.. that is what they are there for! Hope this helps :)

  4. Never ever try to change your dosage for medicine for mental illness. You have got to do this with your doctors’ help.
