Xanax can, at least in theory, increase certain actions or side effects of Bentyl, but in general, I doubt that mixing these will be a problem. If you are concerned, you might try the Xanax alone at first, and if after a few days you are still having intestinal difficulties, then add the Bentyl. If you are desperate though, I suggest that you start with both, because the risk of an interaction is low.
