I have been on 5mgs of Byetta twice daily now for about 5 days and it doesn’t seem to be lowering my sugar much should I wait a little longer until I ask my doctor or should I be concerned?
Should Byetta start working right away?

byetta or exenitide contain GLP1 which is deficient in almost all diabetics it seems that byetta action is due to multifactorial it suppress post prandial glucagon elevation and improve satiety thus decrease weight thus decreases insulin resistance it decrease beta-cell apoptosis (death) and increases it renewal and increase insulin secretion all this needs time not less than 14 day and govern you should talk to your doctor and your pharmacist this is may be also due to severe obesity or not sticking to balanced meal just do exercise and wait
