RELAFEN (Nabumetone) Prescription.?

by Admin on August 16, 2010

I got a prescription for this drug to treat some pain I have in my hands. You know when You get the bottles has a lot of Little stickers that said "Take with a meal", "it can cause drowsiness), etc. This particular medicine has a sticker that says You can not be exposed to sunlight. I couldn’t find anything about it over the internet, Can someone Taking this prescription can tell me if they know something about this warning?

Thanks very much.

I have taken Relafen in the past with good results but as for the issue of the warning about the exposure to sunlight I don’t remember that warning being there. That must be a new warning because of how sensitive it can make the skin making it easier to burn when going out in the sun.

One thing I did notice when taking it, although I had good results, was that I had issues with ringing in the ears.

I would recommend getting back in touch with your pharmacist to let them know that you have some questions about the warning sticker in regards to the sun.
