switch with success and what you are now taking without side effects. No generic for Diovan in USA.
Avery jane- your information isn’t much help if ARB and ACE are causing problems. What they don’t tell you is that they cause rash, flatulance, and in some cases fecal leakage and if you go off blood pressure increases immediately.

Diovan is called an ARB, or angiotensin receptor blocker. It works on blood pressure and kidney protection. ARBs are newer forms of an older class of drugs called ACE inhibitors. Angiotensin converting enzyme (enalapril, lisinopril). ACEs are more likely to produce a cough, but work similarly for BP. As you mentioned no ARBs are generic in the US yet. The good news is some ACEs are on the $4 list.
I take generic Diovan since 1 1/2 year ago. I am 52 years old and have never had any problems with my healst. I have never taken any meds except for over the counter for colds and sinus. After much protest agreed to take the Diovan.I reluctantly stareted o 80mg, once daily. Immediately my blood pressure came down to normal 112/70 and I was happy. I’ve got no symptoms except since two weeks. Sleep problems and the most important one, some erection problems.
Yes, there are no generic diovan in U.S. but you can purchase it online from overseas pharmacies. I have been doing business with http://www.pharmacynextdoor.com for 18 months and i’m greatly satisfied with them. From now one, i do purchase viagra with them too.
I have not used that medication but my boyfriend takes a generic of altace and it works the same as the brand name med. as far as side effects goes they should be exactly the same UNLESS the binder, flavoring or coating contains an ingredient that you have a problem with.
If you are concerned with the binder, flavor or coating ingredients you should call the pharmacy or manufacturer to ask what exactly is in the med. if you are planning on buying online even an online pharmacy should be able to answer the question or tell you the manufacturer of the med so you can ask them. if an online site will not assist you then do not do business with them.
