My doctor told me that my Relafen prescription will take a while to kick in, maybe up to a week. I know that it is an NSAID, and that it’s generally a bad idea to mix alcohol and NSAIDs, but if I don’t take a dose in the evening or next morning when drinking will I be okay? or is it, because it takes so long to kick in, just a bad idea in general. Is moderate drinking okay?

no just the opposite is true
Anytime you are on medication, prescription or not, alcohol is a terrible idea. You won’t know how your body will react until it’s too late. Maybe some minor irritation, maybe a heart attack. I wouldn’t risk my life for a drink and neither should you.
