Is Lamictal only prescribed for people with bipolar disorder?

I want to ask my doc to prescribe me an SSRI, but I’m not sure if he will with Lamictal.

Lamictal is actually an anti seizure medication. It has shown effectiveness in people with bipolar disorder. You would need to discuss with your own doc if he/she feels this medication will help you or not.

There are many meds for BP… so people like me take meds for the up’s and the downs and for the mood. Just Google BP meds and you will find tons of info.

Lamictal is mainly used for the treatment of epilepsy, but its mood-stabilizing properties make it useful sometimes in the management of bipolar disorder and borderline PD.

Lamictal is an anti-convulsant medication. its used for people with depression, epilepsy, and other things as well. Lamictal is also a mood stabilizer, they use it for everything from schizophrenia to people getting off drug addictions.

Lamictal is also prescribed for seizure disorders and epilepsy, in addition to bipolar disorder.
