I like the way Benadryl makes me sleep. I have a deep sleep and very vivid dreams. I take 1 Benadryl and 1 Melatonin every night. Am I doing myself harm?
I am having trouble with sleeping because I am depressed. NO! I will not go to the Dr and take Anti-Depressants! I think they are poison. I have been doing this for 2 months now. And my age is not important.
Ahhhhhh! All you people are ****ink crazy!

Read the directions on the bottle, if that doesnt help you. they give you a phone number to call.
Hi, the problem with that you are doing is that you will more that likely develop a dependency, many people make the mistake of thinking that only addictive substances can do this.
What will happen is after awhile, your body will be unable to sleep without it and then it’s a vicious circle. Why are you having issues sleeping? How long has this been going on you? Could you add some more details please. How old are you?
What dose of Melatonin are you taking, very high doses can cause very vivid dreaming and is really only indended for short term use, not long term.
Edit
In medicine age is always important. You need to try and resolve your depression, perhaps with therapy and an SSRI. Please see your Doctor, if you don’t we can’t help.
I would think by taking it everyday, that after awhile the Benadryl would not work as well.
actually your age is important! benedryl is an antihistamine not intended for long term use to sleep. your liver does not metabolize it completely so each day you take it there is always some still in your system. taking it everyday can lead to kidney failure because you are drying up your system. if you dont want to take something safer like a sleeping pill from you doctor buy something over the counter for sleep , much safer
Yes it can cause a raise in blood preasure.
If you think ant-depressants are poison then why do you think it is ok to take benadryl and melatonin?
You could go to the doctor to get a referral for a psychologist which will help you get to the bottom of your depression and insomnia and hopefully help you combat the problems.
Benadryl is not recommended for long term use and will eventually stop working as well and/or lead to dependancy issues.
