I’ve been taking Zyrtec year-round for years but am losing my insurance coverage. I can get 350 of the generic for about but the best I can do on Zyrtec is 75 for !
Is generic Cetirizine HCL as effective as Zyrtec? Does it have different side effects?

Cetirizine is just as effective as Zyrtec. The side effect profile is the same. Generic drugs undergo the same scrutiny as brand name drugs when they come onto the market.
