Gallstone removal requires surgery. Please consult your Physician, who will refer you to a Surgeon- for this type of condition. If the pain is excruciating (Acute Pain)- you are running a fever, or are extremely nauseated, please go to an ER. In fact, call an ER now to ask about the pain you are suffering at this time. They will suggest the correct and best intervention.

Good luck and take care!

NO, you cannot use bentyl for gallstone pain.

COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Bentyl

USES:
This medication is used to treat a certain intestinal problem (irritable bowel syndrome) when other treatments have not worked (e.g., diet changes, anxiety treatment). Dicyclomine belongs to a class of drugs known as anticholinergics/antispasmodics. It works by decreasing intestinal cramping.

IBS and other intestinal problems are different from gallstones. If you need to take something for pain then take Tylenol or Motrin and follow the directions carefully. But FIRST see your doctor and see if you even have gallstones.

What should you use to get gallstones out of your body? Hmmm…. um, a GOOD surgeon!!

The only way to get rid of gallstones is to have them removed surgically along with your gallbladder. Depending on how large they are and where they are located they will be removed either laproscopically (3 small incisions) or they will do the big cut. First though, you need to be diagnosed as actually having gallstones. The only way to do that is to see a doctor and have tests done. Laproscopic surgery is usually in and out. Recovery time is a lot shorter, several days, and you are back to work or school.

It is for Irritible Bowel Syndrome, like Belladonn. This is not a medication that is going to help you with gall stones, or gallbladder problems. If you are having problems with gallstones or your gallbladder you should see a doctor right away.
