I am on my third day…

I haven’t seen much change yet, I have not felt any nausea and I am almost never hungry.

My bg is still high, yesterday it dropped just a little bit.

I was taking Byetta a couple of months ago. 10 mg twice a day. And I lost a few pounds…..but it was probably because I felt nauseous within an hour of taking it. I would have to go lie down for about an hour. It lasted over a month, so I went back to taking 5 mg twice a day, along with Metaformin 500mg. Now I seem to be more stable. Good luck !

Byetta cuts my appetite so that if I get low blood sugar I don’t go into a feeding frenzy. The only way you lose weight is to eat less. If I could eat less, I wouldn’t have diabetes. But yes I stop eating when I feel full and that has helped me take off a few pounds. Byetta made it easier but I still was dieting. So far I’ve got off 17 pounds. I take pills and insulin too. It says it’s made to work with Metformin and I was queezy a bit in the beginning but Metformin upsets me too so it’s hard to tell. Since I’ve been eating less I’ve really lowered my insulin intake which really helps with keeping the weight off. Now I find out that Byetta is not approved by the FDA with Lantus but I’m sticking with it. Just push away from the table. The Byetta won’t do it all, you will have to. Lots of luck. . .
Oh, and Byetta has a great website and they are glad to help you with any questions or problems.
