My brother is 21 and has been on Enbrel for over 7 years. He has had juvenile psoriatic rheumatoid arthritis since he was 4. He was crippled from it to the point he could only walk a few steps. He now runs, snow boards, golfs, lifts weights and is running circles around his classmates. They had him on some other drugs that stunted his growth and since switching to Enbrel has shot up from 5’2 to almost 6 feet. Enbrel was a gift from GOD. Its expensive but a good insurance will take care of it. Otherwise it is like $1000 a month(last I heard)

I’ve been on it for six months and I’m now pretty much in full remission. It’s been great for me. It also is supposed to slow any future damage from arthritis, so I’m happy to have it since I’m only 23. If your rheumatologist recommends it, definitely try it. It is worth the money, and if your insurance won’t cover it, contact Enbrel, they have assistance programs.

Go to http://www.arthritis.org and visit the RA connect site and go the the discussion board. They have lots of people over there discussing their experiences with all sorts of treatments, and are happy to give support and encouragement to all.

Good luck, hope it works as well for you as it did for me!!
