First of all, it may not be the medication that is causing you to swell. Swelling in the feet and legs is a side effect of diabetes in some patients. Talk to your doctor and decide with his / her assistance if the med is causing the problem. There are hundreds of options for diabetes meds out there and he / she can probably give you another option other than the Actos.
To help with the swelling, try to elevate your feet as much as possible when you get a chance. Also, there are many products out there that might help. Try out some of the diabetic socks that are non-binding. Tight-fitting socks will definitely increase the swelling. Also, make sure your shoes are properly fitting. With diabetes, it is essential to take good care of your feet / leg areas.
Again, talk to your doctor about his / her recommendations for treating this issue.

Good luck and best wishes…
Sounds like you’re retaining water. You’re doctor can probably prescribe lasix for that. Also, drinking more water helps to not retain it so much.
