I have researched some of the benefits and some of the side effects. I am looking for someone to tell me about this treatment from a personal experience, the benfits vs. the side effects before I start this treatment.
I was diagnosed with crohn's disease a couple of years ago. doctor is considering remicade infusions?

Do it!! It caused a whole entire year remission for me. Its the second best thing to surgery. The only thing is that it isnt garuenteed to prevent surgery, as I had one, but I had 2 bouts of 3 remicade infusions (6) in total, and better stomach feelings always followed them.
However, if it does not have prolonged effects, then do not continue it…too much causes more inflamation.
I have Crohn’s disease and have done the remicade infusions, I would recommend them. I didn’t have any side effects. I was having the infusions every 2 months and doing well, so we extended the time between to 3 months, I think that was too long between treatments for me. I am not currently doing the remicade anymore because I had surgery, and my crohn’s has been under control since then.
