		<description>You did not say why you needed to switch, my guess is you want a cheaper drug. (Beta blockers/diuretic combinations are also cheap, and also proven effective, but your doctor would have to evaluate if it would be right for you.)

Diovan does not have the exact same effects as the ACE inhibitors you mention. I never did like those diovan like drugs (AT1 receptor blockers).

Since diovan causes a rise in renin and angiotensin(explained in links below) you might consider starting the ACE inhibitor before dropping the Diovan, otherwise a spike in blood pressure might occur. I have not read of any approved procedure to make the switch.

Of the three mentioned I would chose lisinopril, as it is an active drug as is, the other two drugs depend the liver to make into the active drug.
