Mayo Clinic has a site on Lyrica (aka pregabalin). But this is a tough question to really answer.
It is often taken multiple times a day and a doctor can prescribe Lyrica such that the total dose for a day can be up to 600mg. Much of the dosing really depends on what caused the discomfort and how severe the patient describes it to be.
