My basset/beagle mutt has a major ear infection, so my vet gave him a Depo Medrol injection. How long does the shot last? What are its uses? I would call and ask the vet as I forgot when I had him in this morning, but they are closed.
If you have the answer I would appreciate it. Thanks!
Also, do you have any experiences with this shot?
Depo Medrol is a steroid injection used for treating inflammatory issues. It should last at least six weeks.

Depo medrol is a steroid,used for inflammation of the ear.It works for inflammation in other parts of the body,lungs,muscles etc

Not sure how long the shot lasts in dogs, but it is a medication used to keep inflammation down. That’s its basic purpose – keeps the immune system from making the infected area too inflamed and painful.
