His dentist can find no reason for the mouth pain. He states that it hurts somewhere different each day and sometimes burns. No sores, no redness, etc, just pain.
What Dr would he need to go to if the dentist can find nothing? Internist? Otaryngologist?

  2. The aciphex and the gemfibrozil and both have an effect on the nutrients your digestive tract is able to take in. Mouth pains (specifically the mobile burning sensation you describe) can be caused by either a vitamin or mineral deficiency. My advice would be to take in plenty of water daily to keep your mouth wet in case they medications are causing dry mouth. (ie. sip on water throughout the day) Take a multivitamin (preferable a liquid multivitamin as they are absorbed much better than the pills). Give it a week to see if symptoms improve. Let me know if in a week this helps.

I’m not sure what the guy above me is talking about. Not that he’s wrong, I just haven’t ever heard of it.

  3. he needs to do a few things

    1) blood tests to find out whether he is deficient in anything
    2) consult an oral and maxillofacial surgeon who has an interest in facial pain
    3) consult a second dentist and have a second check up
