How many cycles were you on clomid before you conceived? What side effects did you suffer from? Was the pregnancy a single pregnancy or did it result in a multiple birth? If so, did you have twins, triplets?
This is all for a paper I’m working on. Honest and serious answers only please. Prefer woman who have actually been on clomid or Clomiphene Citrate.

i am currently on clomid and i thought i would give my side effects as they seem a little bit different to other people, my boobs are so tender sometimes its more like an ache and sometimes its as if there is something hanging off them, lol. i also have really bad hot flushes and sweat a a lot, i feel like i am going through the menopause or something (i am not though as i am only 22) i haven’t had the moodiness that some people have had but i have had some swelling to the ankles and weird sensations in my uterus and ovary area, i hope this helps some.
I took clomid almost nine months without success.. May be it will work for you..Best of luck..
i went through 7, yes 7 IUI’s and 3 of them with clomid. i personally didnt have any luck and also had HORRIBLE side effects!!! i gained weight, fast! i was moody all the time, i could feel my blood boil for stupid reasons. also its not good to be on the junk for more than 3 months straight, itll thin out your uterine lining. i also tried femera, which wasnt as bad. but clomid was the worst thing ever! im doing an IVF cycle right now and am on Lupron…thank god i feel kinda like my old self again. i would never take clomid again.
other than my experiences, i have heard that it works. i always responded to it really well and averaged at least 3-4 mature follies, usually on one side or the other. we had to use donor sperm and that frozen junk is worthless if you ask me! hence, moving onto IVF/ICSI. your risk of twins is low, maybe 10% tops and triplets or more is like 3% so i wouldnt worry too much about that. if you have too many follies theyll cancel your cycle or forbid you to have sex. unless you want to be the next kate gosselin….thats exactly what happened to them. she over stimulated and had sex anyways…now look where they are…
All of my pregnancies were results of clomid. It usually took anywhere from 1-3 cycles to conceive. Yes, I had multiple miscarriages, but at least we were moving in the right direction. In February 2009, after finishing my first dose of clomid, I officially decided I needed to be myself after 4 years of TTC and live life again. My husband and I put baby making in the back of our minds. Then a few weeks later I had an e mail reminder to pee on a stick, so I thought "why not?" Well, it turned out that I was again pregnant. November 2009 I gave birth to a healthy, 9lb13oz, 21.5inch baby boy.
In all of these cycles of being on clomid, I would have to say the only side effects I had was that my usually mild OCD was really bad. I flipped out on my husband because he left a fork in the sink. I don’t think I saw more than a 1-2 pound weight gain, and I never got headaches or anything with it.
