Milligram-for-milligram, hydrocodone is roughly six times "stronger" than codeine. That means that one Vicodin tablet (hydrocodone 5mg / acetaminophen 500mg) has approximately the same analgesic potency as one Tylenol #3 tablet (codeine 30mg / acetaminophen 300mg).
