My strep throat test came back positive and I have been on penicillin for almost 3 days. The doc and the internet both say penicillin should start to work within 24-48 hours but I haven’t noticed any improvement at all.

Wait a another day or so and if youre throat is not feeling any better go back to ur dr.
Call you doctor and check on the notes in the perscription box if there is any info on there.
Or you could be like me as penicillin does nothing to me apart from bring me out in a rash.

i had tonsilittis and swollen glands in my throat and took antibiotic wit penicillan in it after 2 days i was better if yours aint gettin better either go to chemists and get a throat spray or go back to the doctor
it took me until the fourth day (of a week’s course) for the penicillin to really kick in, and make a noticeable difference. Sounds like it’s taking a similar path with you like it did with me.
