How long does it take for flagyl to get out of my system?

I was taking 1 pill two times a day for 8 days. One pill was 500 mg. So approximately how long would I have to wait to consume alcohol?

Important information about metronidazole
Take this medication for the entire length of time prescribed by your doctor. Your symptoms may get better before the infection is completely treated. Metronidazole will not treat a viral infection such as the common cold or flu. Do not drink alcohol while you are taking metronidazole and for at least 3 days after you stop taking it.
