I just found out that I’m allergic to Penicillin (Amoxicillin), the rash started this morning and basically it’s just red right now, my arms, legs, and a bit of my back. I’m taking anti-histamines (Claritin), is the rash going to develop more before it gets better? How long does it usually take to clear up?

It usually lasts less than 24 hours, BUT, it has been my experience that you get one warning with a penicillin allergy. The next time you take it could be really bad, like anaphalactic shock bad. Be careful.
