How do I calculate how many mg of Altace are contained in 2cc of 3.0% (mass/volume) solution of the drug?

First of all, calculate the molarity of your compound.

3% = 0.03

So you will have a compound 0.03/1L in Molarity, or just plain 0.03M

Now, multiply by the volume in Liters to find how many mols you have.. You have 2 cc for volume..

1cc = 1mL

So, 0.03 * 0.002 = 0.00006mols

Now, multiply by the molar mass of whatever Altace is to weigh. You now have your mass in grams.

Multiply that by 1000, and you”ll have your mg.

Hope this helps!
