No, but it’s known to contribute to raising risk of heart failure.

Actos is supposed to lower insulin resistance. Relying on drugs alone to control blood sugar is nuts. The most effective method, by far, is super healthy diet and plenty of daily exercise.

I’ve read where many people taking Metformin have wondered why it doesn’t work. It does work, if you give it some help. But unfortunately, many folks come out of their doctor’s office with prescription in hand thinking they can simply take the drug and go on with life as usual. It’s not that simple. You have to be proactive.

No! It is to lower blood sugar levels! And if it works for you it is a great medicine!

It has a black warning box on the info: May cause heart disease and high blood pressure.

I got severe edema using it. It did a great job keeping my glucose low, but at what cost? Now I have a heart murmur that I didn’t have before taking it.

One of my friends took it for over a year and then it simply quit working for her. This is the only way it can cause you to have higher glucose levels is if it quits working. Then you need a different medicine.

I tried it and it did raise my glucose levels! My doctor said that was not possible, but I quit taking it. Doctor’s don’t know everything, medications can affect people differently.
