Was just put on this because i have slight high blood pressure and my ENT wants to see if it helps if I have meneiers disease…question is..how long does it usually take before it starts to work lowering your BP? Its only been 4 days, including today…I think its a 25mg pill

It can actually take 2-3 weeks to feel the FULL effects. One thing you will notice almost immediately is urinating more often. Dyazide is a combination drug, in that, it is also a diuretic and causes the body to rid itself of excess fluid without loss of potassium, thus gradually lowering and maintaining the blood pressure.
It should start working right away. Are you taking your blood pressure yourself at home? Make sure your cuff is properly calibrated. Take it in to your doctor’s office to have him use it with his professional cuff to compare the results.
