Does Miralax mixed with Gatorade taste gross?

Has anyone has to drink this for a bowel prep? I don’t expect it to taste like ice cream, but I want to know if it’s salty and disgusting tasting.

latj September 3, 2010 at 9:37 am: I disagree. I think it does have a taste, or perhaps an after taste that is unpleasant. BUT…I don’t think you should be drinking it at all because you are a Lap-Band patient and probably won’t be able to ingest all the fluids the Dr is asking you to take. You should use your regular regime of 3 Ducolax Tablets and the Mag Cit and you will be fine. Just don’t say anything to to Dr.

? September 3, 2010 at 9:37 am: It doesn’t have a taste to it. Just make sure you mix it up good cause sometimes if it’s not mixed good you will taste grit but other than that it should not have a taste.
Autumlief September 3, 2010 at 9:37 am: Miralax doesn’t have a taste, and easily dissolves by shaking the bottle it’s mixed in. Let it sit for a minute or two, then shake it vigorously again. Then you’re good to go…literally! Good luck with your procedure!
alison_miller5 September 3, 2010 at 9:37 am: It doesnt have a taste. If it did my 2 year old daughter would not drink it at all. She can tell when we mix anything with her drinks. My daughter takes it a lot with her chemo’s because they can plug her up. Good luck! (she likes it with gatorade too)
