My 7 month old baby has been on prevacid for 6 weeks when his zantax no longer was helping. Since then he wakes up 3-4 times a night and is very restless. I am trying to figure out if the prevacid is causing this.

Doctors usually error on the conservative side with dosages, and babies grow so quickly that the dosage is often not enough to eliminate the reflux.
And, could he be teething? That–the increased saliva–often increases reflux.
