I took my last dosage this afternoon @ 1pm (clindamycin 150mg 2 capsules) I want to breastfeed my baby & im not sure if it’s safe to do so yet = ???
I never did find out how long it stays in your system; but i did researched the risks of breastfeeding while taking this medication & it looks like it’s moderately safe to breastfeed while taking clindamycin. It’s not proven 100% safe, but also there’s no evidence of risk in humans. This website gives more details:

dang, I don’t know, but this seems too soon,,,,,most things need at least 24 to 48 hours to get out of your system. Skip tonight, and call your pediatrician in the morning,,,,,or look on a search, for breastfeeding links,,,,,,,,,,,,I breastfed my kid, and I ended up having my milk dry up by having to be on antibiotics for so long…..I should have used a pump, to keep my milk active while I was doing it, but throw the milk away, until safe!……….I know the temptation to quiet a crying baby,,,,,,,,but better safe than sorry!,,,,,,,search the internet for breastfeeding sites…..
