For Xanax, the side effects include:
nausea, vomiting, constipation, appetite or weight changes;

For Caduet, it mentions:
This medication is only part of a complete program of treatment that also includes diet, exercise, and weight control. Follow your diet, medication, and exercise routines very closely.

Read the two links below for more info of each drug.

some medictions can, yes, but it depends on the individual. do not stop taking any medication perscribed to you because you are gaining weight, and refusing to take a medication you really need could cause more problems than gaining weight.

Zyprexa is so notorious for causing people to gain weight that the maker developed a program specificly for people who must take it and have to deal with the weight gain. I gained 30 pounds in 30 days before I quit taking it.

Lyrica ( for fibro-myalga and seizure control) will cause water retention and weight-gain, eyesight problems, speech problems, word-finding difficulties, amongst other problems.

Yes they do cause weight gain, so you really need to watch your calorie intake and get exercise. I take Xenix but it’s for my anxiety attacks. I didn’t think you had a problem there.
