Can I give my son melatonin if he takes concerta?

My son takes 36 mg concerta for adhd. Can I give him 3mg of melatonin at night to help him sleep.

Easiest answer, call the pharmacist where you get your son’s prescription filled or if you want to give it to him tonight check an online drug interaction web site. My son took Ritalin for adhd, the doctor did not tell me about the ‘rebound’ effect (drug suppresses the hyperactivity, then it wears off, result, super hyper kid) I asked the doctor for a time released version of the medication which greatly reduced the rebound and made it easier for him to fall asleep.
