first of all, i hope that you are taking medication for this kind of glucose level. yes, egg and fish is almost the best thing you can eat when you are diabetic. stay away from carbs and uneccessary sugar. good luck.

any meat in small portions – beef, lamb, pork, fish, chicken, turkey, etc are really good foods, don’t turn into carbohydrate (sugar)

eggs are protein also and don’t turn into carbohydrate (sugar)

Dark green leafy salad stuff, tomatos, and some other salad veggies are great and don’t spike my glucose much.

To see what a food does to or for you:
Test glucose level, eat the food, test again 90 minutes to 2 hours after the first test.

Journal everything!!! from the time you get out of bed to the time you get back into bed, for at least a month, write times, numbers, foods, exercise (movement) and rest periods in the journal. That way you can see what works and what doesn’t!!

Everytime my meds change, I do the testing of foods and journaling all over again. It really helps to get and keep very tight control. I value my toes and eyes too much to let this get out of control.

Much good luck to you friend!! Sorry you joined our little exclusive club!!

I’m guessing that you have not seen a dietitian to learn what you can eat and how much. More importantly you should learn to identify carb count in foods. This most important because you need how to keep your glucose level a lot lower and knowing what to eat and how is a good thing.

Best Wishes.
