I take 50 mg twice daily (for the past four plus years) and I am considering quitting this medication. I’m married and am worried that if I were to get pregnant it would harm a male fetus. Additionally, I think I have been suffering from side effects without realizing the aldactone may have caused it.
I would appreciate any advice on quitting and if you have had any experience getting off of this drug.
I will make an appointment with my doctor before moving forward with this of course, but I still wanted to hear from other people with knowledge on this. Thank you in advance!

I have had to stop Aldactone on several occasions due to various reasons but I didn’t have any problems with side effects from quitting the medication. I would recommend checking with your pharmacist as well to see what they say.
